Cause


The Ethernet port stops working due to a power-saving setting enabled in Realtek LAN Controller.

Resolution


Disable Realtek USB GbE Family Power Saving.

Follow these instructions to modify the Power-Saving settings on Realtek USB GbE Family Controller.

  1. Open the Windows Device Manager.
     
  2. Go to Network Adapters.

  3. Double-click Realtek USB GbE Family Controller.

  4. Click Advanced tab.

  5. Under Property, click Idle Power Saving.

  6. Set the Value as Disabled.

  7. Click OK.
