Symptoms

L’intégration NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) est configurée avec l’appliance vProxy. Les sauvegardes de machines virtuelles (VM) échouent par intermittence à ouvrir le VMDK source de la VM avec le transport hotadd. L’exécution planifiée de VMware Protection Workflow aura un impact sur les différentes machines virtuelles au cours de chaque exécution.

Le log de la session de sauvegarde vProxy affiche les éléments suivants :

Il existe 100 sessions de sauvegarde de machines virtuelles en cours d’exécution sur le vCenter, des machines virtuelles supplémentaires peuvent s’afficher dans un état en file d’attente.

Cause

Un nombre trop important de sessions hotadd est exécuté simultanément lors de l’exécution programmée du workflow VMware Protection.  La section relative aux performances et à l’évolutivité du Guide d’intégration Dell EMC NetWorker VMware recommande moins de 100 sessions de sauvegarde simultanées par vCenter Server.

Resolution

Réduisez le nombre de sessions hotadd simultanées pendant l’exécution programmée du workflow VMware Protection, en supprimant des vProxies ou en modifiant les sessions hotadd disponibles par vProxy.
