Removal Instructions

Note: Using a large Phillips or flat head screwdriver may result in damage to the head of the screws. This makes their removal impossible without specialty tools that are not available to our onsite engineers.

 

  1. Pre-removal instructions before removing the system cover:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

  2. Put the system on its side with the access panel facing up, and push the blue release latch on the back of the system into the center to unlock the cover [1].

  1. The 2.5" hard drive is located at the bottom of the system in the swing out panel. Open the swing panel and disconnect the power and data cables from the rear of the drive [1].

  1. Press the blue tabs on either side of the caddy together [2] and pull the drive out of the computer [3].

  2. Repeat steps 2 and 3 if a second 2.5" hard drive is fitted.
