No Video with Included Thunderbolt 3 Active Cable

The Dell UP2720Q monitor ships with a USB-C Active Thunderbolt 3 cable for connecting to a Thunderbolt 3 computer for optimal video performance.

Using this USB-C Active Thunderbolt 3 cable with a system that only supports USB-C DisplayPort (DP) will lead to no video (Figure 1 and 2).
