This article contains information about no video issues when using the USB-C Active Thunderbolt 3 cable that is included with the Dell UP2720Q monitor.
The Dell UP2720Q monitor ships with a USB-C Active Thunderbolt 3 cable for connecting to a Thunderbolt 3 computer for optimal video performance.
Using this USB-C Active Thunderbolt 3 cable with a system that only supports USB-C DisplayPort (DP) will lead to no video (Figure 1 and 2).

If your computer only supports a USB-C DP video output, you must purchase a USB-C (Passive or Multi-Function DisplayPort (MFDP)) cable separately.
