This solution was previously known as Dell Command Cloud Repository Manager.
Dell provides the capability to create and manage catalogs of custom updates for your managed Dell computer devices. This feature can be found within the Dell TechDirect portal. Dell users can register and access TechDirect at no cost.
IT administrators can build custom catalogs of the latest BIOS, driver, firmware, and application updates unique to their environment. These catalogs streamline the critical process of keeping devices ready and secure by simplifying the task of determining which system updates are needed.
Update catalogs can be deployed to your endpoints using Dell Command Update. IT administrators can save a downloaded catalog to a local network share. Once saved, IT administrators can build a local repository of Dell Update Packages installers (DUPs) associated with their catalog. Dell Command Update can be configured to reference the network location for update deployment. For fleet management and deployment, see the Custom Update Deployment Guide, Command Update User Guide, and the Command Update Reference Guide.
Devices that are connected using SupportAssist have the additional benefits of automated catalog creation and deployment across the entire fleet of connected devices. For details about the automated custom update management feature, see the SupportAssist for Business PCs with Windows OS Administrator Guide.
