Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Base Cover:
During installation or removal of any hardware always ensures that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the eight screws (M2x3) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Starting from the bottom-left corner, use a plastic scribe to pry the base cover in the direction of the arrows to release the base cover from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Grasp the left side and the right side of the base cover and remove the base cover from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Turn your computer over and press the power button for 15 seconds to drain the flea power.

Remove the Base Cover.

Remove the four (M2x4) and four (M2x3) screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Peel the tapes that secure the speaker cable to the battery.
Lift the battery off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

Remove the Base Cover.
Pry the securing-clips on each end of the memory-module slot until the memory module pops up.
Slide and remove the memory module from the memory-module slot.

Remove the Base Cover.
Remove the screw (M2x2) that secures the solid-state drive thermal bracket and the solid-state drive1 to the system board.
Slide the solid-state drive thermal bracket from the alignment post and lift it from the system board.
Slide and remove the solid-state drive1 from the solid-state drive slot.
