Removal Instructions

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the System Cover:

    1. During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

  2. Loosen the thumbscrew securing the cover on the back of the system.

  1. Pull the cover towards the front of the system and lift it off the PC.

  1. Disconnect the fan and speaker cables from the motherboard to remove the blower from the system.

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.

    4. Remove the System Cover, and HDD Assembly.

  2. Loosen the antenna screw to remove the antenna from the rear of the chassis.

  3. The WLAN card is between the M.2 SSD card and the heatsink Blower. Remove the screw that secures the plastic tab to the card [1] and remove the tab [2].

  1. Disconnect the antenna cables from the card [3]. (These are pop stud connectors and come off with a little pressure.) Pull the card out of the connector [4] a lift it out of the PC.
