SLN307592_en_US__1icon Note: Be aware that using a large Phillips or Flat Head screwdriver may result in damage to the head of the screws. This would make their removal impossible without speciality tools, that aren't available to our onsite engineers.
 

 

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Main Access Panel:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets

  2. Turn your system onto it's lid and release the seven (7) captive screws that secure the base to the chassis [1].

  1. Use a plastic scribe to pry the base cover starting from the hinges to the top edge of the cover [2] and lift it from the PC.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Battery:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets

    4. Please remove the Base Cover

  2. Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard [1] and remove the three (3) screws securing the battery [2].

  1. Pull the battery out of the computer [3].

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets

    4. Please remove the Base Cover and Battery

  2. Disconnect the keyboard cable from the motherboard [1] and use a plastic scribe to release the keyboard at the threaded holes [2].

  1. Slide the keyboard away from the screen.

  1. Lift the keyboard away from the system.

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the M.2 Solid State Drive (SSD):

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets

    4. Please remove the Base Cover and Battery

  2. Remove the screw that secures the SSD card down [1], then lift the card up and out of the system [2].

  1. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the SD Micro Memory Card:

    1. During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly

    2. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer

    3. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets

  2. Press in on the Micro SD Card and then release to have it pop out of the slot.

  3. Pull the Micro SD Card out of the computer.
