Precision 5810 Tower: Resolving an Intermittent BSOD "0X000000D1 - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

Precision 5810 BSOD's with 0X000000D1 against the iaStorB.sys driver?

There have been reports of intermittent ​Blue Screens with the error 0X000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL caused by the iaStorB.sys driver on the Precision T5810.

Resolution Steps

Updating to the latest version of the IRST Enterprise Driver available from the support site will resolve the issue. To download and install the latest updated version:

1. Browse to the Dell Drivers & Downloads page:

   • Precision Tower 5810 Fixed Workstation Driver Page

2. Select the Operating System

3. Under Category, select Storage Controller

4. Locate the latest Intel Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise Driver and Management Console (Version A09 or Newer.)

5. Click Download and save the file to your computer

6. Open File Explorer and browse to the location where the downloaded file is saved

7. Double-click the Intel setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process
