How to replace the solid state drive in Aurora R11

In this video, we will demonstrate how to remove and install the solid-state drive. Before removing the solid-state drive, read through the safety guidelines to protect your computer from potential damage and ensure your personal safety.

To remove the left side cover, remove the screw that secures the side-cover release latch to the chassis. Pull the side-cover release latch to release the left side cover away from the chassis. Lift the left side panel from the chassis. Now, let’s remove the single graphics card. Lay the computer on its right side.

Press the release and clip on the power-cable connectors and disconnect the power cables from the graphics card. Slide the power-supply-unit cage release latches to the unlocked position. Lift the power-supply-unit cage and rotate the power-supply-unit cage away from the chassis.

Lift to release the graphics-card bracket from the chassis. Push the securing tab on the PCIe slot away from the graphics card. Grasp the card by its top corner, and ease it out of the slot. Now, let’s remove the solid-state drive. Remove the screw that secures the solid-state drive to the system board.

Slide and lift the solid-state drive off the system board. You have successfully removed the solid-state drive. Now, let’s see how to install the solid-state drive. Align the notch on the solid-state drive with the tab on the solid-state-drive slot. Insert the solid-state drive at a 45-degree angle into the system board.

Press the other end of the SSD down and replace the screw that secures the SSD to the system board. Once the solid-state drive is installed, install the single graphics card. Place the card into the x16 slot and press down firmly until the graphics card snaps into place.

Slide the tab on the graphics-card bracket into the slot on the chassis and rotate it into place. Rotate the power-supply-unit cage towards the chassis. Slide the power-supply-unit cage release latches towards the locked position. Connect the power cables to the graphics card.

Once the graphics card is installed, install the left side cover. To install the left side cover locate the tabs on the left side cover and the slots on the chassis. Rotate the left side cover towards the chassis until it snaps into place. Replace the screw that secures the side-cover release latch to the chassis.
