How to Replace BOSS Card Carrier for PowerEdge R760xs

This video shows the process of removing and installing the BOSS-N1 card carrier on a PowerEdge R760xs.

In this video, we show how to replace the BOSS N1 card carrier on a PowerEdge R760xs. Before removing the BOSS N1 card carrier, read through and follow the safety guidelines to protect your system from potential damage and ensure your personal safety.

For more information about safety guidelines, see the R760xs Service Manual at Dell.com/Support. To remove the BOSS N1 card carrier: Lift the retention latch to release it. Slide it out of the BOSS N1 controller card module.

Then remove the screw securing the M.2 SSD module to the carrier and remove it.  To install a BOSS N1 card carrier: Align and insert the M.2 SSD, then secure it with a screw.  Align and insert the carrier into the BOSS N1 controller card module slot.
