The basics for how to use the Dell Video player. This video gives a basic tour of player features such as the volume, closed captioning, individual video share, and related content. This is video part 1 of 3. Additional videos in the series include Part 2 - Dell video support center usage (search and browse) and Part 3 - Advanced playlist usage (how to create, save, and send playlists to others). With Closed Captioning.
To play a video simply click on the video image. While a video is playing, you can pause the video or change the volume. Associated related content can be links or files. The content page will show a list of items, if they are available. Next we will demo the share feature, for individual videos.
From the share page, you can email a video to share with someone or add it to various social sites. Some videos are interactive. These videos when played, will result in a new window opening over the existing video page. If this does not happen you may need to turn-off pop-up blockers.
In this demo, we have opened one of the interactive videos, the D630 teardown video. Some videos include Closed Captioning. Selecting CC will allow you to turn Closed Captioning on. On some videos it will also allow you to change the closed captioning language being displayed. If closed captioning is available for the video, print captions will allow you to print the text for reference.
