For more information about safety guidelines, see the ChengMing 3991 Service Manual at: Dell.com/support Before you begin, ensure that you turn off your computer and disconnect all attached peripherals. To begin with, loosen the two captive screws that secure the side cover to the computer.
Slide the side cover towards the back of the computer And lift the side cover away from the chassis. Lay the computer on the right side. Remove the single screw that secures the WLAN bracket and WLAN card to the system board. Now lift the WLAN bracket and remove it from the WLAN card.
Slide and remove the card from its slot on the system board. Carefully, disconnect the antenna cables from the WLAN card. You have successfully removed the WLAN card.
Now, let’s see how to install the WLAN card. To begin, connect the WLAN antenna cables to the WLAN card Align the notch on the WLAN card with the tab on the WLAN-card slot.
Now insert the card at an angle into the slot. Align and place the WLAN card bracket above the WLAN card. Replace the single screw to secure the bracket and card to the system board.
Align the side cover with the guidelines on the chassis. Slide the side cover towards the front of the system to install the side cover. Now replace the thumbscrews to secure the side cover to the system.
