For this video, we're going to demonstrate some basic concepts of reporting here. So very first concept edit we're going to demo here is called drill down. What drill down allows you to do is to go into deeper details of a particular report here. So we're going to go ahead and open up OMSA versions and what this shows different versions of OMSA versions on your network here.
So in our case we're going to go ahead and click on OMSA 5.5, and you'll see it will eventually drill down into another report where you can see all your servers that have your OMSA version 5.5. It shows various information for each of those servers. So the next concept that we're going to demonstrate here is called report parameters.
And what report parameters allows you to do is to filter your reports according to what parameters you type in here. So in our case we have a list of all the hard drives in our network here. What we want to do is go ahead and filter on only on Dell hard drives here. And as you can see, you filter down to only Dell hard drives.
Now, if we can apply another parameter filter here, in this case we're going to go ahead and filter to a particular device, hard drive model type here. Model number, rather. And there you have it here. The next concept that we're going to go demonstrate is in our last concept here is a concept called cloning. What cloning allows you to do is copy another report so that you can edit it later here.
One of the -- actually, for Dell Reports, the default settings is read only. So we're going to show you here that the edit button is disabled, indicating it's read only. What we're going to do is go ahead and clone it so we can go ahead and edit it. Go ahead and rename it. Gives us time here.
And it should come up a perfect clone of your report. And now you can see the edit button is active now. Now, if we click it, it will go ahead and enter it into the report builder here where you can edit the various settings if you choose so. That's it. And thank you.
