This video covers how to install 2.5 inch storage drives into the Unity system. Systems List: Unity 300/300F/350F/380/380F, 400/400F/450F /480/480F, 500/500F/550F, 600/600F/650F/680/680F, and 880/880F.
This video shows how to install two and a half inch storage drives into the Unity systems shown on screen and in the description below the video. Before you begin, first remove the 2.5 inch new drive from its packaging and set it aside on a static-free surface. Remove the filler module from the slot where you want to install the new drive.
To do this, insert your finger into the cutout on the front and press down on the top of the filler module. Then pull it out of the enclosure. Now you can install the new drive. Align the new drive with the guides in the empty drive slot. And ensure that the ejector handle on the drive is open.
Gently push the drive into the empty drive slot. Ensure you engage the ejector handle to fully seat the drive. Finally, in Unisphere verify that the 2.5-inch drive appears with an OK status in the enclosure view.
