Removing the expansion card riser:
Holding the touch points, lift the expansion card riser from the riser connector on the system board.

Removing an expansion card:
Hold the expansion card by its edges and remove it from the expansion card riser connector.
If you are removing the card permanently, install a filler bracket in the empty expansion card slot and close the expansion card latch.
NOTE You must install a filler bracket over an empty expansion card slot. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in proper cooling and airflow inside the system. The filler bracket is necessary to maintain proper thermal conditions.

Installing an expansion card:
Locate the expansion card connector on the riser.
Holding the expansion card by its edges, position the card so that the card connector aligns with the connector on the expansion card riser.
Align the expansion card bracket with the hooks on the chassis.
Insert the card connector into the expansion card riser connector until the card is firmly seated.
NOTE Ensure that the expansion card is properly seated along the chassis, so that expansion card latch can be closed.
If required, connect the cables to the expansion card.

Installing the expansion card riser:
Align the following:
Guide on the expansion-card riser with the guide pin on the system board.
Expansion card riser latch with the slot on the chassis.
Lower the expansion card riser until the expansion card riser is firmly seated in the connector on the system board.
Close the expansion card riser latch.
