Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
Power off the system and attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet, and disconnect the peripherals.
Remove the system cover
Lay the system on its side.
Open the PSU assembly.
Removing intrusion switch:
Disconnect the intrusion switch cable from the connector on the system board.
Slide and push the intrusion switch out of the intrusion switch slot on the system.
Installing intrusion switch:
Align and slide the intrusion switch into the slot in the system.
Connect the intrusion switch cable to the connector on the system board.
Route the intrusion switch cable through the cable routing clips.
Close the PSU assembly.
Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
Install the system cover.
Place the system upright on a flat, stable surface.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet.
Power on the attached peripherals and then power on the system.
