Resolution

Alert ID SDNAS_SMB_DC_NO_MORE_DC
Alert Text The NAS server %(nasServer) in the domain %(domain) can't reach any Domain Controller.
Error Code (0x01300201)
Description The domain controllers are not reachable. A SMB server needs to communicate with a domain controller to works properly.
Resolution Solution
Check that the Domain Controllers are up and running and check the connectivity with the Domain Controllers.

CLI:  Attempt SMB Domain Controller connection from a given SMB (Server Message Block) server.
"svc_nas_cifssupport"
Usage: svc_cifssupport { <NAS_server_name> | ALL} -pingdc
{-compname <comp_name> }
[-dc <netbios_DC_name>]
[-verbose]
Checks the network connectivity from the CIFS (Common Internet File System) server, as specified by its computer name, to a domain controller. Once connectivity is established, it verifies that a CIFS server can access and use the domain controller services. Applies to compname only.

Alert ID SDNAS_SMB_SERVER_JOINED_NO
Alert Text The SMB server of the NAS server %(nasServer) is configured to be joined to the domain %(domain), but is currently not joined.
Error Code (0x01300301)
Description The specified SMB server is configured to be joined to the specified domain in the error but is currently not joined. Active directory services won't work and no user in the domain can connect to the SMB server.
Resolution Solution

An SMB server can either authenticate using Active directory credentials or local. If active Directory authentication is required the SMB server must join the Active Directory Windows domain.

Resolution 1: Join the SMB server
PowerStore Manager (GUI)
From the GUI use: NAS server -> Sharing Protocols -> SMB server.

CLI:
Join a computer name into a Windows Active Directory (AD) domain.
Is also employed to move to another Organizational Unit (OU).

Usage: svc_cifssupport { | ALL}  -Join  -compname <comp_name>  -domain <full_domain_name>  -admin <admin_name>
Join the computer to the domain in default OU.
An account with domain admins privileges is required and password will be requested.
[-ou <organizational_unit> ]
Specify OU, may be invoked either to set or move the compname.
[-option
{reuse | resetserverpasswd | -addservice nfs}]
reuse : Take ownership on an existing AD compname to join the server.
resetserverpasswd : Reset the computer name password on the Domain Controller (DC).
addservice nfs : Add an NFS SPN for that computer in AD for secure NFS.
Resolution 2: Verify if the issue is due to a bad DNS configuration.
PowerStore Manager (GUI)
From the GUI use: NAS server -> Naming Service
