•Make copies of any files or data in the snapshot you want to retain. See Recovering files and data from snapshots.
•Disconnect all hosts from the snapshot.
•For LUN storage and VMware VMFS datastores, unmap or unmount the snapshot.
•For file systems and VMware NFS datastores, exit the hidden snapshot directory.
•If the snapshot has been attached, for LUN storage and VMware datastore access, you must detach the snapshot before deleting it. See Attach and detach snapshots.
