For many releases, Data Domain used the WWPN values of the QLogic adapters. This was problematic, as it forced customers to rezone their FC SANs if the QLogic adapter was replaced. So, in DD OS 4.8, a " Data Domain " WWPN was introduced. One of the features of this WWPN is that it is permanent . It does not change even if the QLogic adapter is replaced. So customers do not need to rezone.

Dell EMC Knowledge Article 000046525 : Data Domain - Slot # of WWPN Changes After DD OS Upgrade
All Data Domain systems licensed for VTL using Data Domain OUI 00:21:88 not including DD880
