RAID5 - 2 disks damaged

Morning,
I have a PowerEdge r730 rack server configured with 16 disk, in error due to problems with 2 disks being damaged.

Is RAID5 possible to rebuild it with 2 damaged disks   ?

Is there a procedure that can be started directly from the command prompt or with a wizard procedure ?
If not, is there a free official DELL program ?

I attach pictures to demonstrate

Looking forward, thank you

Hello,

no sorry if you have 2 damaged disk in RAID 5 you lost the volume.

What you can do is to try to force online one disk (the last who gone failed) and try to recover the volume.

Thanks

Hello,

can i install windows server 2019 desktop on this server?
(might be useful to run Windows software that specializes in recovering data from RAID5 and reading the 14 disks in raid)
what do you think?
(I would like to use a second disk so as not to touch my current configuration)

If yes, where should I insert the 2 hard disk to run Windows server ? instead of the cd drive ?
is there an adapter ?
thanks

Hello,

yes you can install Windows 2019.

But the RAID5 configuration is at hardware level, there is no software that recover data if RAID5 is corrupted. But you can try. Installing another OS it doesn't give you more chance to recover the RAID unfortunately.

Did you tried to force online or recreate the RAID volume without initialize the two disks?

I thank you,

I listen to your opinion because I have a lot of confidence.

Could you explain how to force the online mode or recreate the raid volume?
Is there any risk that I lose the content?

thanks again

Hello,

You ask if there is a risk of losing data, but with two failing disks on a raid 5 the data is already considered lost. What is possible is an attempt to recover it.
There is no guide for this, it is a CtrlR operation. By selecting a physical disk failed you can see if there is an option to enable force online. If there is not you can recreate a new virtual disk.
