I have read numerous posts and seen multiple people that claim to have recieved a 2408WFP revision A01. However, none seem to know what exactly has changed. The color banding? The pink hue? The weird color setting under Windows? The input lag? edit: just quick summary: @

Hi Omnios, Thanks for the help. Tried that as well, swapped out ram with some I knew was working, and it still wouldn't boot up. Starting to think it's the video card.

Can someone please tell me what the pcmcia controller chip is , in the xps gen 2. The 9300 has the ricoh R/RL/5c476(II) , so I'm wondering if this is also in the xps. For those who dont know, It can be found in : >control panel > system >hardware >device manager - pcmcia controller.

I have changed the LEDs colors for the fan, speakers, and panel pressing the F2 key when the Dell screen appears. That went fine except that when my desktop appeared they all changed back to the default. Any idea why?
Do you have the Dell Quickset software installed? I've noticed that it overides anything you set in the setup once the computer boots. Check the settings there. RZS
Can anyone help me with this? It seems that no matter which application I use to make DVDs, that the maximum detected speed is 4X (and this is with certified 16X media... which I was able to do on a separate desktop here). Any thoughts? Thanks
