You'll need to evaluate which features you need -- and which won't work because the system doesn't have the hardware to handle all of them. Start here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/business/windows-11-pro-workstations

So, when I purchased my Aurora R13 at the end of 2021 it had Windows 10 and I upgraded to Windows 11 Pro for Workstation. I recently purchased an XPS 15 9520 and it just has regular Windows 11 Pro. Is it worth upgrading my version on my laptop to the Workstation version? Or would that be overkill fo

Where to start, arrived 5 days early. Built as per spec. Delivered on their promise of a quiet machine. Looks better in the flesh than the pictures.  Super performance with the 12900 and 3090. The Alienware Cryo-tech Edition CPU Liquid Cooling does a superb job with temps. Win win all

I got my R13 shipped early, but it arrived on the scheduled arrival date due to a mishap during shipping with FedEx. Same R13 but mine in Dark Side Of The Moon. Since applying BIOS 1.0.8 yesterday afternoon after two nVidia kernel level BSOD's, thing

I was contributing to this thread , but the OP Solved it and his solution did not work for me so I am starting a new one. Since my last post, Dell has sent me a new R13. It has the exact same problem out of the box. Black screen followed by a reboot. Dump says it was a BSOD: Doing a "Clean PC" i

I think I will wait a bit to see how things go overall with this new BIOS. I haven't had an nVidia driver kernel BSOD error in a while and I would rather not risking bricking my system since I am out of the return window on my R13.

12/25 and I don't see any update. I still have Alienware BIOS 1.0.2 from 10/2021 installed on my Aurora R13 and still getting nVidia related BSOD's on an almost daily basis.

I have been getting regular BSOD's too on my new Intel based R13. Just got it on 12/9 and I keep getting nVidia related BSOD's. It's happened while playing World of Tanks, watching live streams on Edge, browsing the web in Edge and while doing nothin

Hey everyone, I was looking at liquid cooling my Aurora R8 in hopes of mitigating the awful fan noises it makes once it became clear that tech support doesn't view the decibel level of a vacuum cleaner as operating outside the bounds of "normal operation". Really? "Whatever," I told myself, "if i'm

My Aurora R8 came with the stock 321-BDXJ: 850W Bronze PSU liquid cooling unit. My Aurora R8 has the i7-9700k CPU, nVidia RTX 2080 Ti OC GPU, 2 TB SSD and 2 TB HDD. Would this cooling unit work with my system? Thanks. Eric

Hello, Due to problems experienced with my current XPS, I'm looking into ordering the current generation of the XPS Special Edition and opting for the Nvidia 1080 GPU. If down the road I opt for the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti, will this unit be able to support it? I"m assuming I would need to swap out the

U

Thanks everybody. I have opted to go ahead and order the Alienware Aurora with that 850W PSU and liquid cooled CPU. In addition, I was able to get the RTX 2080 as an option, so I picked that up too. Eric
