Aurora R8, Intel BXTS13X Water/Liquid Cooling, #2

Hey everyone, I was looking at liquid cooling my Aurora R8 in hopes of mitigating the awful fan noises it makes once it became clear that tech support doesn't view the decibel level of a vacuum cleaner as operating outside the bounds of "normal operation".  Really? "Whatever," I told myself, "if i'm going to spend money i may as well get liquid cooling instead of trying to find quieter fans." I was looking at the following model Hydro Series™ H80i v2 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Liquid-Cooling/Single-Radiator-Liquid-Coolers/Hydro-Series%E2%84%A2-H80i-v2-High-Performance-Liquid-CPU-Cooler/p/CW-9060024-WW#tab-tech-specs)  was wondering if anyone else has installed one or if anyone knows if it is compatible with my machine. thanks!!

Cant get much cheaper.  I don't consider this an upgrade.

does this cooler require the MB to be taken out to fit the mounting plate at the rear of the MB also does this include everything that i would need . I note that the Dell OEM version lists 3 parts as being required. MH0HN = Asetek USA 35-102-0000113, 95w liquid cooling assembly, Aurora-R7/R6 F484V = Bracket for 95w liquid cooling assembly, Aurora-R7/R6/R5 J46J2 = Heatsink, Aurora-R7/R6/R5 i am using a non k chip so assume i dont need the heatsink in any event

Awesome, looking to upgrade from fan cooling. Do you know about the installation? Is it required to remove motherboard to apply a bracket or does it fit perfectly into the screw holes intended for the current heatsink?

From my current experience, IMO, Alienware is knowingly selling defective Aurora R8's to the public. They need to get rid of an air-cooled feature. IMO Alienware / Dell are not doing the gaming community right.

I have returned my Aurora R8 and demanded an RMA number from Dell customer support. For the amount of money spent it is not worth the time.

My Aurora R8 came with the stock 321-BDXJ: 850W Bronze PSU liquid cooling unit. My Aurora R8 has the i7-9700k CPU, nVidia RTX 2080 Ti OC GPU, 2 TB SSD and 2 TB HDD. Would this cooling unit work with my system?

Thanks.

Eric
