In order to receive assistance from our forum members you will need to provide the system model and the OS installed.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

Here’s what helped:

  1. Check for Updates: Ensure your BIOS, drivers, and Windows are all up to date.
  2. Clean the Vents: Dust can cause overheating. Use compressed air to clean the vents.
  3. Manage Startup Programs: Disable unnecessary startup programs via Task Manager.
  4. Power Settings: Adjust power settings to Balanced or Power Saver mode.
  5. Battery Health: Check battery health in BIOS or Dell SupportAssist; it might need replacement.

These steps improved my laptop’s performance significantly. Hope this helps!
