XPS 8930, front fan bracket

What is the part number for a front case fan/bracket for the XPS 8930?

I've read that the Aurora R5-R7 front case fan will work, but I see several: 78KPW, 7M0F5. Not sure which to order.

Apologies if this is already answered in one of the numerous fan upgrade threads, I did look.

I have a i7-8700 (non-K), Geforce 1070 and recently started playing New World and it is LOUD. Ordered a top fan and bracket, the Dell CPU fan with heatsink, but would like to add a front fan as well. I monitored temperatures during a gaming session and both CPU and GPU are running very hot.

Thank you

Have you looked at this forum post as it seems to refer to the part you require.

Re: What is the part number for a front case fan/bracket for the XPS 8930?

are you trying to replace/upgrade the top case exhaust fan in the roof of case, or install additional custom front case intake fans behind the front bezel, either at top or bottom?

It seems 7M0F5 refers to the top case fan bracket.

If OP meant to install additional intake fans behind front bezel, it was said that “The lower front intake fan will also help with air flow in your case as would an upper front intake fan, for which no bracket is needed.”  these fans may be mounted on to chassis front grid via grommets.  If a 3.5” hdd is installed there it ought to be removed to help air intake, it seems.

I ordered GF4FG which I _think_ is the top fan bracket, from what I can tell its one in the picture shown above. I will put an NF-F12 Noctua fan into that bracket.

I also ordered a 7M0F5 which I think is the lower front fan bracket (see below):

It should snap into the bottom front. I'll replace the fan with another Noctua.

I have a couple of HDD's, so adding an upper front fan is not an option for me right now at least.

But I could be wrong, there are tons of fan related threads on here

Thank you!
