XPS 8900, upgrades, GPU
I have a Dell xps 8900 and want to upgrade it (especially the graphics card) I use the computer mainly for Autocad (2006), Sketchup and Fusion 360. The current specification is below. All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What video card do you have now? That is the only relevant info. A new card would be the best and cheapest upgrade. This card would be a good choice and not break the bank. It is even an available choice in brand new XPS models. https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-GeForce-GV-N1030D5-2GL-Computer-Graphics/dp/B071DY2VJR/ref=asc_df_B071DY2VJR/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309776868400&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5923055809862024071&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010547&hvtargid=pla-387194713181&psc=1

Keep in mind you'll probably have to disable Secure Boot in BIOS setup to get any new video card to work.

Not necessarily....
"NVidia p2132" is a Dell OEM NVidia GT 730 video card. The Specs say Dell offered the XPS 8900 with these OEM cards:

It looks like it might have already been changed. My 8900 came with the GTX 745 preinstalled.

@RoHe
Thanks for the clarification. I should've remembered that as I looked at the spec sheet and was complaining the part about the wireless networking was being completely accurate.

I'd upgrade the RAM to at least 16GB. If you have a spinner HDD go with SSD
