XPS 8300, upgrading to the Nvidia GT730, no POST

Hi, guys I’m in trouble with my XPS 8300 Mobo. After I upgraded my old gpu which was Gainward Radeon HD4870 1GB GDDR5 with Nvidia GT730 4GB GDDR5, the gpu starts up, the systems seems to start up but fortunately there is no Dell logo or any picture on the screen, I’m running my system also with 6GB of RAM and ai3 - 2120 (3.10Ghz) processor. Anyone can help me or give me some advice what to do to get him back to live? Thanks in advance!

1. See if this one still works.

2. If it seems to be booting and working (but just no video) ... see if the on-board video-card is actually the one that is working instead.

Remember, there is a BIOS option for how video-cards are used.

I've tried several cards in mine recently (with success) but I have no spare Nvidias near the age of a 730.

Thanx, but when I boot bios with the onboard video card there I can’t find any option about switching between the internal and external gpu. Someone can help me where can I find that option in the bios of my XP’s 8300 bios?

It's not that hard to find. It's about concurrent use. Actually, I prefer it off because that is more normal.

What BIOS version are you running?

I’m not sure about the bios version, but I have few pics of the Mobo with the exact model and I think with the bios, cuz I have never updated my bios version.38061680-33DF-4723-BF02-0F068B826EAB.jpeg

Inside the BIOS, it says if it's A03 or final A06.

Inside Windows, msinfo32 will also show BIOS version

At the moment I can’t get into bios, nor into Windows, cuz the onboard video stop working I think. The system starts all the vents are spinning, but there’s no picture or sign of “live”
