There are several threads saying users who installed 5600 MHz RAM in XPS 8960 with 14th Gen CPU aren't able to get that speed. So 6000 HMz RAM will probably not be any better.
At issue may be the total absence of RAM XMP profiles in BIOS setup on the XPS 8960. RAM rated at being faster than 4800 MHz typically requires an XMP profile to achieve those higher speeds, otherwise it probably will default to 4800 MHz.
Would just increasing the total GB of 4800 MHz RAM to the max be a better and less expensive route? If nothing else, contact Crucial Tech Support and ask about the need to have an XMP profile available in BIOS setup...

You should. 5600 MT/s memory is available on computers with Intel Core 14th Gen processors.

Read the threads here and here.
