Xenith Zero Client & Mouse Support, and USB Drives
Xenith Zero Client & Mouse Support, and USB Drives
I'm testing a few of the Wyse products out for utilization with our Citrix environtment and the Xenith Zero Client is really a rockstar... my only complaint at this point is that the mouse doesn't support my 4th and 5th buttons...
Is there any way to get those working? I miss my forward/back buttons...
The other issue, and I'm not sure this one is fixable, but we are needing USB drives to work for some of our end users... so for the Xenith to be a true winner it needs to support USB thumb drives... thus far I'm not able to get that working either, and I believe it's just a matter of them not being supported, am I correct?
Thanks,
Willa

I am having this same issue. I starting to work on making these ready for our environment but USB (Thumb) drives will not show up on these units.
I think I have USB redirection enabled in policies....

Not sure about the mouse.
For the USB thumb drives to work, this depends on the product and version you are using. Also, you need to enable USB drive redirection in your Citrix policies.

Xenith uses Citrix HDX for USB redirection. if you are connecting to XenDesktop , then HDX USB support most all USB devices and they will redirect. if you are connecting to XenApp you will most likely not get the same level of redirection. key things .. make sure to enable HDX USB policies on the Citrix side. test using a PC with the Citrix client to verify HDX USB redirection.
if you are using XenApp - you might look at using WTOS v7 (C10LE, V10LE) in place of Xenith.
