Domain logon - Cached domain logon

Domain logon - Cached domain logon

I'm testing a Wyse laptop with WES 7 for use onsite and offsite. It's joined to the domain and logs in fine with a domain user account, but I would like to use the cached logon feature of Windows when the user is offsite and no domain controller is available. It's enabled in local policy, but it doesn't work. It gets the "no domain controller is available" message. I'm assuming this has to do with the write filter? I'm wondering if there is a way to get this to work, if I need to make an exception or configuration change? I really don't want to have to use a domain account onsite and a local account offsite. Thanks.
