Wyse Xenith Firmware Upgrade

Hello,

We have roughly 100 or so Wyse Xenith thin clients ranging from 1 to 6 years old.  We manually configured each one with an FTP site pointing to the wnos file.

I am wondering what the best way is to see what version of software each of them are running and plan to get them all current.  some of them are the wyse branded and some of them are dell wyse branded.

Is there a management console that will help me with this?

Thanks!

John

With devices that old you will want to take a multi step approach. 1) get all devices firmware upgraded to the latest available from support.dell.com using your existing FTP server. 2) Install the free version of Wyse Management Suite (WMS) available at support.dell.com 3) Get your devices to report into WMS. Read the support documentation available at support.dell.com under WMS, and watch the videos. 4) Move towards providing configuration to your thin clients using policies instead of FTP 5) Eliminate FTP
