VMWare Fusion 3.1

VMWare Fusion 3.1

When I VNC into my mac, then enter text into a virtual machine, the character i enter is repeated until the next character is entered (then that character repeats). This occurs when I VNC to my mac then enter text into a VM, and when I vnc directly into the VM when the mac is managing the VNC session (ie, I use Fusion to enable VNC). This actually happens both with the built-in VNC server and with Vine Server (I run both because Vine provides a faster refresh, but the built-in server lets me do capital letters and other characters that require a "shift" key). When the VM is in bridged mode and it's managing the VNC session itself, I don't encounter this issue.

The issue also does not occur when I RDP into an XP VM (no surprise).

As you can see, the problem is easily circumvented. I just thought I'd pass this along.

System: MBP 4,1 // OSX 10.6.6 // 2.6 GHz C2D // 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 // 320 GB HDD // VMWare Fusion 3.1. VNC servers used: Built-in apple VNC server, Vine Server 3.11 (both on the mac). VMs tested: Snow Leopard Server, XP SP3.

Chris, I noticed this issue still exists in the PocketCloud version I just downloaded today (for Android). I'm testing the product with my MacBook Pro (Lion OS). Any update on a resolution?

Thanks for the report. I was able to reproduce. We will try and fix in our next release.

What version of the Android client are you running? You can check this by tapping the "Wyse" logo on the bottom of the home screen.
