Assistance with install.

Assistance with install.

Hello,
I have downloaded the Windows companion for use with my Droid. When running the initial setup, I am receiving a message that states;

"Your operating system (Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit) does not support remote desktop protocol. You can still access your desktop using the VNC protocol. You can find a VNC server in the following link."

I have also tried, unsuccessfully, to go the gmail login route. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Rob

Microsoft does not support Remote Desktop Protocol on home editions of windows. So you need to use VNC to access your desktop. You can find different VNC servers like Ultra VNC/Real VNC/Tight VNC etc. Use any one of them to access your desktop.

Is your login with gmail is failing? There were other reports that gmail login is failing from companion. But we could not reproduce this issue here. Will update you once we find this issue. Any other input related to this issue will be helpful.

I have logged in via the pocketcloud program on the phone and desktop companion. They do not find each other.
