MongoDB upgrade needed to go from 3.31 to 3.5 (and beyond)

Hello! Looking ot upgrade several installs of WMS but hitting the following MongoDB upgrade needed:

scw_0-1639521751482.png

All of these have the default wms mogodb install with the service named "Dell WMS: MongoDB"

Is there a clear/concise KB on updating this w/o breaking anything? Thanks!

All I did was stop all the relevant services, and then copy and overwrite the contents of the 4.2.16 bin folder in C:\Program Files\DELL\WMS\MongoDB\bin. You can get the 4.2.16 package from https://www.mongodb.com/download-center/enterprise/releases/archive

Thank you!

This seemed to do the trick

That did the trick for the MongoDB for me, but after a while the upgrade fails. I try to upgrade from 3.3 to 3.5.

The last view lines in WMSInstall.log are:

2022-1-5 T16:49:44::CustomFunctions::6116::In function createwmsuser
2022-1-5 T16:49:44::CustomFunctions::6124::Failed to create user: The system cannot find the file specified.

2022-1-5 T16:49:44::CustomFunctions::6132::Failed to set change password policy
2022-1-5 T16:49:45::Upgrade::598::User creation failed, hence restoring...

Anyone knowing what to do in this case?
