DDC issues when using WDM

I would like to know if someone else has had this issue or knows how to resolve an issue with connections problems when pushing out a default device configuration to multiple devices. We have a lot of S30 thinclients and configured 1 device (A1) with a specific configuration and ica connection. We went into WDM and captured the default device configuration from that device (A1) which brought the configuration into WDM as a registered package ready to deploy.

We then took another device (A2) and used the package wizard to deploy the DDC to it. The device (A2) showed the status screen the device was being configured by the administrator and the device restarted with the correct configuration, which was the same as A1 device. However, when we go to connect to the citrix farm on Device A2, the connection fails. This is the case for all other devices we try to configure. We tried to delete the connection information and recreate it and that fails. But after we reset the device (A2) to reset to factory defaults, we are able to configure the device to connect to the farm and it does.

So we reset the device (A1) to factory defaults and push out the DDC to that device (A1). The device is then configured with that DDC and when it starts back up, it is able to connect to the citrix farm. Is there a step I'm missing in order to get the default device configuration to become universal for all S30 devices and not just the device the DDC originated from?
