XPS 8300 and Windows 11

I've seen a couple of threads mentioning that BIOS A07 for this model Dell (XPS 8300) supports UEFI which is a requirement for upgrading to Windows 11.  However, it does not appear that this firmware was ever made available.

Is there a way to gain support for this model Dell to upgrade the O/S to Win 11?

Incidentally, running mbr2gpt.exe /validate /allowfullos on this system show the check completes successfully!  This indicates the upgrading the drive from MBR to GPT is supported, but this would only serve to blow up my hard drive and my computer!

@Aaron ML

There is No TPM and therefore No Free windows 11 upgrade for XPS 8300 / Vostro 460  BIOS. No such A07 bios.  Sites claiming to have that are malware.

The 11 year old XPS 8300 is not on the Dell validated Windows 11 list. In fact, we never validated Windows 10.

I never authorized Microsoft to upgrade my XPS 8300 to Windows 10, but they did anyway.  I've not had any problems with Windows 10.  The XPS 8300 fits my needs completely (lots of RAM, 8 core, lots of disk space) and it seems a shame to have to upgrade to another system when this one works perfectly.  Is there potentially a way to upgrade the parts that don't satisfy Win 11 requirements without having to replace the entire system?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I'm in the same boat as you. My XPS 8300 is still a perfectly fine machine, insomuch as I use it daily for Visual Studio development tasks.

I'm holding out hope that the Extended Support options for home users aren't going to be too pricey.
