Stop laptop going to sleep
I have a Dell Inspiron 1764 laptop & want to add a monitor but laptop goes to sleep when lid is closed. What am I doing wrong or not doing?

In case the issue is not resolved, update the system BIOS:
Note: Please save any unsaved data as your system will restart automatically after updating the BIOS. Disconnect all the external peripherals like printer, camera, scanner, external hard drive, flash drive etc. Also, the battery should be charged 10% or above.

This doesn't help, it still sleeps after changing all settings, even after modifying from control panel>internet settings > power management.

u have told me, i unistalled my display driver and restart the laptop . Its not even starting now ,nothing displaying *********************

don't close the lid it will prevent it from sleeping
