To send a private note, click on the envelope icon next to your avatar at the top of the page, which should take you here. (I can't seem to find the envelope or use the private notes page from a mobile browser.)

I suspect your problem is that your boot drive is partitioned in MBR format, rather than the GPT format which booting in UEFI mode requires. Check this article for instructions on how to check to ensure this is the case, and how to convert your drive from MBR to GPT with Windows' "mbr2gpt" tool. A few notes/caveats:

  • I've never used the tool.
  • Probably best to ensure your backups are solid before attempting this.
  • To find the Disk Management tool, search for and start the Computer Management app. You'll find Disk Management under the Storage heading in the left column.
  • If all else fails (and I know it's drastic) you can always reinstall Windows 10 from installation media after setting UEFI and Secure Boot. You'll want to carefully delete all partitions on your boot drive only and install in the unconfigured space.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.
