Error message #5
I was having trouble with AOL. After doing extensive trouble shooting with AOL techys the problem was isolated to a computer or software problem and I was told to contact Dell. The problem is listed as "Error #5, reference #Q329441" . I am hoping not to need to call Dell and spend money to speak with a person in New Deli, India, who speaks horrid English. Does anyone have a solution?

Here is a link to the Microsoft "Q" article they referenced you to. The symtoms, causes and fixes are listed in this Microsoft tech article. You don't need to call Dell, just follow the Microsoft instructions.

I spoke to an AOL techy. He took me to a location on my machine that couldn't be changed. He then cross referenced the material and gave me the #5 and Error problem.
My problem is that I cannot advance to any hyperlinks when in AOL. IE through Insight works perfectly, but aol hyperlinks take me to a blank frame. Does this help. I also tried to up grade IE with a download bust couldn't get it to work.
