Dell update can be reinstalled. Also-You can run it online at Dell Support- Dell Drivers and downloads for your model computer. You do not need to use any 3rd party app.

remove any 3rd party antivirus software.
Open cmd by searching "cmd" on the start menu, make sure to run it as administrator Execute these commands in the admin command prompt
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Make sure you use a simple machine name for your computer, at least 8 characters:
Click Start, right click Computer
Click Properties
Windows 8 users, press Windows key + X > click System
Under, Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click Change settings.
Run these commands on the command prompt to restart windows update services
net stop bits net stop cryptsvc net stop wuauserv net stop msiserver Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old net start bits net start cryptsvc net start wuauserv net start msiserver
After successfully executing the commands, I would suggest performing a clean boot
