Could we use Link Aggregation for the network cards and ports added in VxRail?

Hi,

Would you like to let me know about whether we could use Link Aggregation for the network cards and ports added in VxRail?

As we know, all node types support adding additional network cards like the link below, excluding the G-Series. It seems that the cards added can be used with Link Aggregation if it is based on VMware’s official instructions/procedures.

Q: Can I add additional networking capability for my VxRail 4.0 appliance?

A: Yes, all node types, excluding the G-Series 2U4N hardware, support adding additional 10GbE PCI-e network cards for networking port expansion. These additional ports are considered Optional Connectivity……

Actually, I just concern about the description in the DELL EMC VxRAIL NETWORK GUID like below.

Disable Link Aggregation

Do not use link aggregation, including protocols such as LACP and EtherChannel, on any ports directly connected to VxRail Appliances. VxRail Appliances use active/standby configuration (NIC teaming) for network redundancy, as discussed in the section on Network Traffic.

Additional NICs don't participate in VxRail configuration. They are customer confirmable and the customers are free to set them up the way they want, as soon as they don't change the standard VxRail config. So I don't see a reason why LACP cannot be used.

We can see the description of LACP supporting in the last weekend document update.

However, LACP could be enabled on non-system ports, such as additional NIC ports or 1G ports, for user traffic.
