VPLEX GEO for site distance of 2000 miles, is this practically possible ?

Experts,

I am planning to use VPLEX GEO for SAN migration between two sites. Site distance wold be nearly 2000 miles.

Our primary goal is to migrate vmware and oracle data from our source to destination. WAN bandwidth between these two sites would be upgraded to 10Gig link in couple of weeks.

VPLEX GEO support RTT up to 50 ms, I would like to know if someone has a real experience in migrating this long distance using VPLEX GEO .

Also, our initial plan is to migrate from EMC array to EMC array and then from Hitachi to EMC storage.

Would VPLEX GEO be the perfect solution to migrate data in this situation , or should we consider some other product .

Recoverpont is best served as a tool to do a data migration with latencies over 50ms
