Looking for Advice on Multiblock Read Sizes for Oracle on VPLEX
Currently we are seeing poor performance on multiblock reads on Oracle with VPLEX. The multiblocks reads are made up of 16 x 8k blocks, or 128k. We are running VPLEX 5.4.
Does anyone have a recommendation on what the multiblock size should be set to in Oracle? The OS is AIX.

Hi Will,
Performance issues may relate to multiple factors, where are you seeing performance issue in network/backend array/if its Metro then could be WANCOM. so to start with, check the stats from the VPLEX monitoring you would see how the VPLEX is performing and the backend array stats too.
