Vostro 3668 MT and TPM
Good morning everyone,
With the new GPDR there is a lot of interest in business grade computers now so i was looking at the 3668mt.
In the specs is states about TPM (Trusted Platform Module) but it also says "optional hardware"
Does the vostro 3668mt have the necessary TPM chipset or not?
I don't want to suggest computers to clients that don't meet their needs.
Thanks in advance

Vaios81,
To add to speedstep's post. Click the link below for more information. There is support for TPM in the bios for the Vostro 3668. You can click the link below to download the online manual. The settings are listed under the System Setup Options- Security Screens Options.

TPM is not a chipset its an additional piece of hardware.
There is also INTEL TXT (Trusted Execution Technology)
This depends on specific features in the CPU, bios, and hardware. THIS CANNOT BE ADDED LATER.

Thanks for your replies.
I already read the manual and knew what speedstep was saying.(i used a wrong set of words..am sorry)
The only thing that made me think twice was that "optional hardware" i saw in another page.
Anyway,thank you very much.Really appreciated.
