Dell Vostro 270s upgrades
Hello,
I have a Vostro270s with a i5-3450s CPU that I use as an office/archive computer. Since I got it years ago, I've bumped up the RAM to 16GB and moved the hard drive to an external USB 3.0 enclosure, replacing it with a 250GB 2.5" SATA SSD (HUGE difference in performance, even on this dusty old rig). However, I still run into instances where the drivers are starting to show their age.
I was thinking of replacing the CPU/Motherboard/RAM for something more up-to-date like a Intel Pentium G6400 (slightly better performance, a lot newer, and more importantly, affordable)
Does the chassis support standard ITX motherboards, or is the motherboard in the Vostro 270s a unique form factor?

After hours of live chatting and phone calls with Dell representatives, I got 0 answers. Hours later, I stumbled across the answer by accident. After comparing photos of replacement boards for the Vostro 270s and modern mini-ITX motherboards and comparing the standoff holes in the boards, it turns out the Vostro 270s chassis does support the mini-ITX motherboard form factor. I found it disappointing that the company who built the thing doesn't even know the answer to such a simple question, or can't pull up the specs on their own hardware regardless of how old it is.
