AS400/ i series in the VMAX3
In the older VMAX models, AS400 and Z/OS were always given their own front end ports, with the correct port flags. Is the port segregation still needed on VMAX3?

Thank you! My EMC architect is saying for performance reasons it needs to go on its own front end ports...why?

FICON/CKD (native z/OS) is not yet supported on VMAX3.
AS/400 (IBMi, D910 emulation) can share ports with regular open system hosts.
