spy hunter

and this: http://pcpitstop.ibforums.com/axslinger/helpfiles/bogus.htm  but have not found uninstall information yet.  You can not remove it from add/remove programs?  I will keep looking and someone will be along with knowledge of that junk.  Good Luck, pskelley

I have tried Adware 6.0 and removed some of the malware i had but could not get rid of spy hunter.

Also tried the Add/remove and did not work, do you think if i use a different browser such as mozilla firefox would actually work?

anybody knows how to get rid of Spy hunter, I had a pop up window saying I was infected with viruses and to get a free scan click this window, it downloaded spy hunter and now i can not get to the internet and some of my files are locked.

Lots of the regular posting anti-malware experts on this board have moved to pastures new for various reasons. You may find it better to find another support site to assist you.

Lavasoft Support is the support site of Ad-aware.
Wilders Security has since stopped hijackthis log support due to the lack of experianced helpers.
Others that I would recommend Zerosrealm, Subratam.org, SpyWare BeWare and ComputerCops, but generally all those on that list will have experts to help you.
