INSIDE JOB " DELL TECHNICAL SUPPORT" BASED IN INDIA HAS A SCAM

Hello,

I am writing because I have been the victim of what I believe is a "Dell's inside job" in this technical support scam to Dell computer users out of warranty or expired technical support based in INDIA. I have been a DELL customer since 2003, always had the best tech support with no problem, even when I called once about 7 years ago, they cleaned my computer for $49.00 which was ok with me with no problem. I bought an all in one computer in 2012, with 3 years of tech support. My problem started when I called DELL April/2016 of course I didn't get help because my computer wasn't covered, they wanted me to pay $89,00 one time service, at that time what I really wanted was to get my computer back to windows 8.1 I wasn't happy with 10, my computer was running fine. A week later I started getting calls from ladies with Hindu accent claiming to be from Dell wanting to help me fix my computer. I was always busy and I told them I had no time to seat for 2 hours to do it. They kept on calling, until one day exactly a month ago 8/29/16, I had the time to fix my slow computer and accepted their offer. He gave his security Id # DELL9929 his name: Eric Thomas with an Hindu accent, I asked him: Are you really from Dell? He reassured me that he was, that they were getting signals from my computer that something was wrong. I believed him because my computer indeed after that call in April started getting slower and slower. He wanted access to my computer which is the only way they can fix it, I gave him access he installed an internet security program to scan and clean out called KAPERSKY, he started erasing files etc. according to him cleaning my computer. I made it clear I was not buying anything, he said no worries we are doing it because we are getting too many alerts from your computer. He told me he was going to monitor my computer for a week that he'll call me on Monday. I didn't want to go into my bank account or check emails because I felt they were watching me, but instead of Monday he called me that Friday, so I told him I didn't trust him. As soon as I hanged up 9/2/16 I called Dell told TECH SUPPORT what happened, to my surprise this Hindu guy called Muthu Chidambaram Service Request: 935549938 acted like he knew of the scam, told me he will clean out my computer for $89.00 one time service or $239.00 for a year. He also told me that I needed a better security that he had one which was the best for $249.99. I paid the $89.00 didn't buy anything else, but when I went to Dell's website to find security software they had some for as low as $14.99 being that it was labor day weekend. I wonder why he was trying to sell me one so expensive? As soon as I hanged up with DELL I went into my emails to find that I had been charged by PayPal $450.00 from DEN MEDIA, called the impostor's # 801-829-7424 to ask for my money back or else. PayPal and my bank got my money back, but it didn't end there. Why do I say is an inside job? Because 5 days after calling DELL TECH SUPPORT on 9/2/16, again I got a call to a different # that I only gave Muthu to contact me in case we got disconnected from my land phone when he was fixing my computer, the guy also Hindu told me exactly the same the other ones had said in so many calls: They were getting signals. After fixing my computer Muthu asked me to answer his email if I had any more problems with my computer. My computer started acting up again when I answered Muthu's email because I needed help, he never answered, but when I called 9/9/16 DELL SUPPORT because my computer was not starting at all, they wanted to charge me again, when I asked to speak to a supervisor, Rajeev (Tech's name) told me that I had to pay $39.00 to speak to a supervisor, which is something I have never heard in my entire life, dealing with so many companies. I was upset and told him that they were running a scam, an inside job from technical support because everyone involved was based in India, I told Rajeev the whole story and told him I was going to take it further. On 9/13/16 I got a call from DELL, a supervisor called Dave Hindu also, not too nice. I told him about the scam coming from within DELL, suddenly he said : "I can refund your $89.00 so you can call DELL TECH SUPPORT so they can fix your computer". I got the $89.00 back. My computer is not working. I am afraid to call DELL TECH SUPPORT because they are going to do the same thing again, their scam is with Dell Support out of warranty users because they can make money that way. I think they get a bonus if they sell us more, so our computers will never work the way they should, because they want us to keep calling back. If we fall for their trap like I did, we have to call DELL to fix our computer every time. A SCAM. They have our computer tag#, all our personal information. Scary. I think the email from Muthu I answered, had something that  infected my computer. Long story, but true.
