Dell Customer List Has Been Breached

I have started receiving calls from Fake Dell Tech support.  I also have never turned in my asset tags for my pc's or tablets.. These asset tags are only held by Dell and to associate them to my cell phone which isn't listed any where either is kind of scary.. I believe Dell needs to tighten up their security as this is ridiculous and should be notifying customers of their breach!!  They call my cell and tell me there is something wrong with my pc and read me the asset tag number and then a few days later they would call and ask me about my tablet as well.  Nobody but Dell has this information....

Read this and use the secure webpage or the toll-free number to report this to Dell.

It's like playing whack-a-mole. Dell whacks one down here and another pops up over there. And once the info gets out, it's hard to  get it back.

All you can do at this point is get as much info about the scammer as you can, without revealing or confirming any of your personal info, and then submit that info to Dell.

I ask the scammer for the Service Tag number to see if they have it, but I never say if it's correct or not. Then I say I have to go out and ask for their company name and a call-back number, which they eagerly provide. And I submit all that to Dell...
